Baton Sport Coordinator

Is required by the

Saskatchewan Baton Twirling Association

If you are creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have strong organizational skills this position will be of interest to you.  We are looking for an individual with an interest in the sport of Baton Twirling to organize, promote and run the day-to-day business of the Saskatchewan Baton Twirling Association.

Ideally, the Successful Candidate will have:

  1. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  2. Time Management skills, and ability to work within strict deadlines.
  3. Knowledge of the Sport Delivery system in Saskatchewan.
  4. Computer skills, including accounting spreadsheet applications, website management, and word processing (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, QuickBooks, Dreamweaver).
  5. Knowledge of office procedures and administration.
  6. Volunteer management, Public Relations and Leadership skills.
  7. Grant/proposal writing capabilities.
  8. Ability to work independently as well as with parent volunteers, coaches, athletes and government organizations.
  9. A degree or diploma in Recreation or Leisure/Sport Management would be preferable.
  10. Knowledge of the sport of Baton Twirling would be a strong asset.
  11. Position is part-time (approximately 25-30 hour per week) and is currently located in Saskatoon; relocation to Regina may be considered for the right candidate.
